Health Risk Assessment
Workforce Health’s health risk assessment (HRA) process provides an accurate snapshot of an individual’s health, gives them valuable information and feedback, and provides strong motivation to improve their quality of life.
First, our research-based, online HRA takes your staff through a series of questions designed to evaluate current health, health history and potential risks. Employees can access the questionnaire through work or at home.
HRA results are individual and personal. You receive only an aggregate summary to communicate overall wellness trends in your company. Workforce Health provides privacy forms that give us consent to perform the health risk assessment and release specific information to the employer, if it is associated with an incentive.
Typically, Workforce Health clinical professionals then come to the workplace and perform finger stick biometric testing (cholesterol, lipid panel and glucose), the results of which are available immediately. We also screen for blood pressure, body mass index and waist circumference. We’ll engage your employees in conversation to help identify any other health issues that the employee may have.
Finger Stick Versus Venipuncture
Current data certified by the Cholesterol Reference Method Laboratory Network confirm that accuracy and reproducibility of a point-of-care lipid profile method is comparable to centralized laboratory testing, without the anxiety sometimes caused by venipuncture (blood draw through the vein).

Assessments for Employees Nationwide
Because the HRAs are delivered online, your employees who are located outside of Wisconsin can take part in the Workforce Health assessment process. And, through our national lab service provider, we can provide health screenings to those out-of-state employees. They’ll receive a personalized health report, based on the questionnaire and screening results, and the data will be considered in the organizational profile.
