Froedtert Health Community Memorial Hospital's Heart and Vascular Center is nationally recognized for its excellent outcomes and superior service to patients. The Heart and Vascular Center has earned the following accreditations and awards.
Triple accreditation of echocardiology lab from the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL)
The ICAEL is the governing body for echocardiography procedures and monitors echo labs to ensure they follow national standards and their doctors and staff have proper training. The triple accreditation means the Heart and Vascular Center meets standards for transthoracic echo, stress echo and transesophageal echo procedures. Community Memorial is one of only two hospitals in Southeastern Wisconsin accredited for all three procedures.
United Health Premium® Cardiac Specialty Center
This designation means the Heart and Vascular Center has met rigorous quality criteria based on nationally recognized medical standards. Cardiac Specialty Centers have consistently good outcomes with their patients.
Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care from Blue Cross Blue Shield
This designation - also based on rigorous quality criteria - shows that a medical facility has demonstrated expertise and good outcomes.
Certification of Cardiac Rehabilitation Program from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)
This certification is the only peer-reviewed accreditation process designed to review individual facilities for adherence to standards and guidelines developed and published by the AACVPR and other professional societies. It means that Community Memorial's Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is recognized as a leader in its field.
