Community & Giving
Community Memorial Hospital remains committed to proactively responding to community needs, continuing a mission that
began when we first opened our doors more than 45 years ago.
Community Memorial Hospital’s community outreach efforts extend beyond the walls of our hospital in the communities we
serve. We offer a variety of free screenings, first aid clinics at community events, health education and support groups to meet
the needs of the community. Additionally, Community Memorial staff provide their time and expertise to teach area clinical
students pursuing nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy and other healthcare professions.
Community Outreach Clinic
The Community Outreach Health Clinic provides quality, non-emergency medical and pharmaceutical care to uninsured and
under insured residents in our service area, including treatment, prescriptions, laboratory tests, education and counseling.
Community Memorial Foundation
The Community Memorial Foundation raises funds for patient care at Community Memorial Hospital. Funds remain at our
local hospital to benefit patients treated here. Over the years, it has helped thousands of patients through gifts to the Cancer
Care Center, Emergency Department, Women’s Health Center and the Heart and Vascular Center.
Volunteers in Partnership with Community Memorial Hospital
The Volunteers in Partnership (VIP) help Community Memorial Hospital achieve accessible, outstanding health care for our
community. More than 300 men, women and teens volunteer over 50,000 hours annually in 35 hospital departments and for
our community outreach programs. The VIP also raise funds for the hospital through the annual Cheery Cherry Fall Fair, the
Timeless Treasures Gift Shop and various fund raisers held throughout the year.
