Froedtert Health’s Workforce Health program leverages the expertise of Froedtert Health’s hospitals, physicians and clinics to meet the specific health management needs of businesses.
About Workforce Health
Workforce Health is different because we assess your workforce’s health, your organization's needs and desires. Then - and only then - we’ll make data-driven, results-oriented recommendations for services and programs. Using what we call the Total Health Model, we gain knowledge about an organization’s needs, target their needs with onsite or other health and wellness programs, and help both the organization and its employees navigate its access to health care. Throughout our partnership, we gather the information our clients need to measure the progress and results of these efforts over time. The services and programs we design for you comprehensively address your health management goals. They range from identifying health risk, to wellness and prevention programs, to traditional occupational medicine services and a highly specialized work hardening program. We provide our services with the underlying goal of engaging your employees and establishing rapport so that we can drive the behavioral changes necessary to live a healthy lifestyle.
Our Services
Health Risk Assessment: Workforce Health’s health risk assessment (HRA) process provides an accurate snapshot of an individual’s health, gives them valuable information and feedback, and provides strong motivation to improve their quality of life. First, our research-based, online HRA takes your staff through a series of questions designed to evaluate current health, health history and potential risks. Typically, Workforce Health clinical professionals then come to the workplace and perform finger stick biometric testing (cholesterol, lipid panel and glucose), the results of which are available immediately. We also screen for blood pressure, body mass index and waist circumference. Our highly expert health educators will engage your employees in conversation to help identify any other health issues that the employee may have.
Employee Coaching and Feedback: Immediately upon completion of the biometrics, your employees receive one-on-one health education with a clinician, either a credentialed health educator or certified Wellness Coach. This access to a healthcare expert, without needing a separate appointment, results in increased participation. During the coaching process, we can act as a conduit to primary care physicians or other appropriate care that’s in line with the healthcare benefit plan. We also can provide your employees with educational materials that address their specific areas of concern, and they can access a vast online library of health resources and tools anytime.
On-site delivery: Workforce Health partners with you to develop health and wellness programs, based on your identified needs, delivered on-site at your workplace. We are able to work with the employee’s primary care team to improve healthcare utilization and compliance with screenings and preventive medicine. Our on-site services can range in scope, size and duration, and are always customized to meet your needs. Some examples of our on-site services include nursing, health coaching, weight loss programs, rehabilitation or physical therapy and tobacco education.
Health Management Consulting: An important part of the Workforce Health process is gathering information on your organization’s goals and culture and looking at your complete health picture. We start by assessing your organization’s health history and long-term goals. We may review your medical claims data and HRA data from previous years. We can review your company’s health plan design and compare it with specific goals regarding productivity, safety and absenteeism. If your company has existing health risk assessment data from previous years, or if you opt for Workforce Health to conduct your company’s HRAs, we will be able to further target your health management needs. If there is a specific area of concern, we can drill down and analyze core issues. That information might help inform programming choices.
Education and Wellness Programs: Tap the expertise of a full range of medical specialists who will deliver programs and services at your work site. Workforce Health wellness programs and services are customized to meet the specific needs of your organization and your employees. They can be delivered to small groups or individuals, depending on what is preferred by the employer.
Occupational Medicine: Workforce Health is your partner in promoting workplace health and safety, with a full range of occupational medicine services available to your organization. With Workforce Health, you choose the scope and types of services needed.
